Round 13 - Young Sends a Message
The Young Saints sent a clear message to the senior team that they are the team to beat after a solid victory in Young. The senior team was beaten by 90 points and was often left flat-footed.
Both the under 14s and under 17s had a bye.
Round 12 - Seniors in Bathurst, Juniors at Home to Cowra
The reserve grade side recorded an excellent win against one of the front-runners, Bathurst. In a game centred around defence, Ben Gregory, the Mudgee marshall directed his troops in the backline well as the Mudgee defense repelled the Bathurst attack all day.
Our juniors hosted Cowra for the second time in as many weeks. Both games were spiteful at times and in the end the Cowra coach was cited by the Mudgee club for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The under 14s were low on numbers and suffered a heavy defeat. The under 17s side showed plenty of courage and determination in what was an even contest up until half time. Cowra surged ahead in the second half to take out the match.
